Abby Craig, Head Coach

Abby has been consistently coaching volleyball and softball, both at the rec and club levels, since 2021. She is passionate about game IQ, body mechanics, and the mental aspects of the game. She strives for team and individual development that will prepare these girls to meet their goals – athletically, academically, and socially. In lieu of a softball scholarship offer, she chose academics and earned her BS in Psychology from Oregon State University. Throughout her career, she has had a focus on development and goal achievement. She has always maintained a strong love of the game and is a self-proclaimed "fastpitch nerd."

Abby and her husband love raising their three kids on their suburban mini-farm with their two dogs, two cats, two guinea pigs, two Nigerian dwarf goats, and seven chickens.

Jen Lankins, Assistant Coach

Jen Lankins has been involved in the softball community since age five, starting in Diamond Bar, CA, and later competing in both California and New Jersey. At Clifton High School, she played for a powerhouse program that earned back-to-back state championships and a runner-up finish. She began coaching in 2019 with Centennial Youth Sports, where she also served on the board and led key fundraising efforts. Her coaching emphasized fundamentals, mechanics, game IQ, and building confidence—helping several players advance to competitive travel teams.

Now based in Milwaukie, Jen continued to coach at the 12U and 14A levels, with a focus on advanced skill development, game IQ/situational awareness, and player growth. She currently heads the fundraising for Rex Putnam High School Softball. Known for her passion and leadership, Jen creates a positive, growth-focused environment where players feel supported, challenged, and confident — while having fun competing!

14u De Mars

Stephanie De Mars, Head Coach

Stephanie is a returning head coach within the Blast organization, having held this role for the past few years. As a non-parent coach, she has a solid background in competitive softball, playing from youth through college and internationally. She has also coached club teams for several years. Softball is her passion, and she finds it incredibly rewarding to coach and develop youth athletes.

Brooke Johnson, Assistant Coach

Brooke has been an assistant coach for the past two years with Blast Fastpitch.  She has found it important to build confidence and role model good sportsmanship.  She will focus on continuous improvement and help engage more athletes towards their goals. Brooke played Little League softball until age 14 as well as played  competitive basketball through HS.

Morgan Miller, Assistant Coach

Morgan was born and raised in the coastal town of Newport where he played baseball, football and wrestled. He studied Geology at Western Oregon University and played on the rugby team. After college he spent a few years fishing in Alaska's Bering Sea, then settled in Portland and began a career as a commercial electrician. His coaching journey began with youth football and turned into 11 years of highschool football. His last stop being the varsity defensive coordinator at Wells Highschool. He spent 2 years officiating highschool football before beginning his softball journey with his daughters T-ball team.

14u Salas-Snyder

Stephanie Salas-Snyder, Head Coach

Stephanie joins the Blast coaching staff in 2025 as the 14U Blast Head Coach. She brings an abundance of softball knowledge and experience to the program as a player, coach, and student of the game. As a player, Stephanie was a four-year starter for Wright State University (Dayton, OH) Softball team, leading them to their first conference championship and their first NCAA Division I Tournament appearance in 2003. She started her coaching career as a graduate assistant coach at Wright State in 2006 followed by coaching the Mount Notre Dame HS (Cincinnati, OH) Varsity Softball team in 2007-2008. She is an avid fan of the sport and has attended the Women’s College World Series in OKC since 2022. Stephanie’s approach to coaching is focused on the whole player, from mechanics to softball knowledge to building integrity, discipline, and teamwork. Her ambition is to develop a competitive, cohesive team that knows how to have fun.

12u Ahlers

Dan Ahlers, Head Coach

Dan Ahlers is returning for his fourth year with Blast. Dan brings a wealth of experience to our organization. Prior to joining Blast, he coached his daughter Kaitlyn in softball for four years through the Tigard Rec league and his son Kellen for eight years in both baseball and football. Dan also has an impressive background in competitive baseball, having played at both the national and international levels in his youth.

12u Cornwell

Holly Cornwell, Head Coach

Holly served as a head coach for the 2023-24 10u Fury C team, as well as assistant Coach for the 2023-2024 10u Fury B team. Holly brings a wealth of experience and passion for softball to the role, growing up playing competitive softball as a catcher and has transitioned that passion into coaching. Holly has coached several teams spanning from Little League T-ball thru Majors softball. Holly is a Mom to three girls and part-time RN working with kids and families with Type 1 Diabetes.

12u Strom

Holly Strom, Head Coach

Holly Strom is very passionate about softball and coaching. Holly played four years of softball at Oregon Tech as a catcher. She has several years of coaching experience ranging from rec AA up to competitive 14U. Off the field, Holly works as a catching and hitting instructor. Holly is a mom of two and besides softball, she also enjoys surfing and good food!

Josh Strom, Assistant Coach

Josh played baseball for four years at Oregon Tech as a pitcher, setting multiple records that he held for over 10 years. He also comes with several years of youth coaching experience. He has an abundance of knowledge that he is excited to share with the team!

Jamie Gabler, Assistant Coach

Jamie has multiple years of coaching experience, two years as a competitive 10U coach. She played highly competitive ASA softball from a young age through High School, then went on to play at Linfield University. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team and is excited to share her passion for the game. 

10u Lissman

Mike Lissman, Head Coach

Coach Mike Lissman was a former player at Oregon State University and was a key part of the Beavers’ back-to-back National Championship teams in 2006 and 2007. Over the past three years, he has coached both of his daughters—ages 9 and 7. Mike’s coaching philosophy focuses on building strong fundamentals, competing with effort and enthusiasm, and being great teammates both on and off the field. He is excited to bring his knowledge and love of the game to Blast Fastpitch!

Jessica Lissman, Assistant Coach

Jessica is excited to bring her love for softball and coaching to the Blast organization. With the past three years spent coaching youth softball, she combines hands-on experience with a lifelong passion for the game. Jessica grew up playing competitive ASA softball and continued her career at the collegiate level at Linfield University. Outside of softball, she is a proud mother of two daughters and works in the field of Special Education.

Kyle Baisch, Assistant Coach

Kyle has coached youth sports in Tigard and Tualatin for the past five years, focusing on softball. A Seattle-area native, he grew up playing baseball, soccer, basketball, and football, and went on to earn a Sports Business degree from the University of Oregon. Kyle serves on the board of Sport Oregon and champions the She Flies initiative, promoting girls’ and women’s participation in sports across the state. He’s excited to bring his passion and energy to the 10U Blast!

Bill Galaway, Assistant Coach

Bill has multiple years of coaching experience at all ages 8U - 18U.  He helped start the Silver Bullets ASA Softball Program and spent many years developing young athletes into great softball players with a strong emphasis on teamwork, fundamentals and high softball IQ.  He is the father of assistant coach Jessica Lissman.
